WHILL Selected as Winner of First CEA Foundation “Tech that Improves Lives” Video Contest

San Francisco, CA, October 30, 2015 – On October 14, 2015 The CEA Foundation announced the winners of its first ‘Technology That Improves Lives’ video contest. WHILL along with four other companies was selected from more than 20 entries by companies that create technology that has a positive impact on older adults and others who use assistive technology. As a winner, WHILL will receive $2,500 and a booth in Eureka Park during CES 2016.


The CEA Foundation is reaching out to the more than 47 million people age 65 or older, and more than 56 million people that report having some form of disability by supporting nonprofits that use innovative technology to enhance their lifestyles.


Chair of the CEA Foundation, Larry Richenstein, said of the winners, “There is a strong need for technology to help augment current services to enable us to all live longer, healthier and more independent lives. We are excited to recognize just a few of the companies that are innovating to meet this demand.”
